2011 Caprice PPV 6.0 6L80E Not shifting after Tune and New Parts

Ill try to keep it TLDR short

car cam to me for DOD delete, BTR Cam install, Circle D triple disc converter, Camaro deep trans pan and wide mouth filter

shifted fine previous to service

after parts install and tune update from a trusted tuner, car now locks up trans when shifting to 2nd gear, unlocks as soon as its in first. It happens at 12mph ish, I can command the car to stay in first and it will exceed 12 and not bind up while still in first gear.

did i just get lucky and the trans failed when I changed the converter, filter, fluid, deep pan etc.

the car was prev tuned by an unknown tuner for headers, and a CAI but still had stock cam.

when I loaded the new tune i actually did a write entire to TCM as well, not sure why i did that, I've never done it before.


I loaded the file back in that the car drove fine with previously, I tried both write calibration and write entire, still locks up in 2nd with the initial file it came in with.

it did have a P0989 trans pressure code. I went ahead and pulled the TECHM today and dropped off at the trans shop to have the Trans Go repair kit for the pressure switches installed just in case.

Ill attach the file that it came in with that drove fine, the updated file from the tuner labeled Version001 and a short log.

I doubt its tune related unless I somehow damaged the TECHM with the file but I'm just throwing out life lines.

Did you change the turbine shaft o-ring when putting the new converter in? Sounds like an internal leak somewhere. could be a bad filter also.

Turned out to be trash in the valve body causing the valves to stick.
