L83 Tuning Experts - Can You Help This Long-Haul Project?
I'm reaching out for some assistance with tuning my L83 engine. I've installed the following performance modifications:
> * Long tube headers
> * L86 injectors
> * L86 high-pressure fuel pump (HPFP)
> * S&B cold air intake
> * True dual exhaust system
> * Texas Speed Performance (TSP) Stage 3 camshaft
> * 10% larger fuel pump lobe
> * Rebuilt 6L80 automatic transmission with a Circle D 3800-4000 RPM stall torque converter
> I initially hired a tuner to help with the calibration. During his visit, the oxygen (O2) sensors were malfunctioning. He was able to get the engine to idle, but he hasn't returned to complete the tuning process after I resolved the O2 sensor issue. He has cited being consistently busy.
> Unfortunately, my truck has been out of commission for a year now. It initially suffered a torque converter failure that sent metal debris through the transmission, which has since been professionally rebuilt. Following this repair, I experienced a misfire in cylinder number 2 and discovered low compression in that cylinder.
> I would be incredibly grateful for any advice, insights, or recommendations on how to proceed with getting my truck properly tuned and back on the road. Any guidance you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
