    2012 Focus Manual swap issue

I have a friend of mine with an auto to manual swap focus he bought. I know it might be a longshot but hopefully someone might have some insight on the BCM side as well. It was swapped when he bought it so he does not know much about the swap or what they did or didn't do. The issue he has with the car is that it will not rev past about 3200RPM, which to me sounded like a fairly common rev limit on many auto trans to protect the torque converter. I know the DSP6 the car use to have doesn't have a torque converter but my first thought was the car was never tuned after the swap and could be a limiter for Park so I told him I could pull the file and take a look if he wanted to pay for the credits.

I pulled the file and looked at the transmission tab and saw under general it did still have Automatic still enabled so i'm going to have to assume that the PCM and BCM are the original automatic modules and have not been flashed or altered. So I changed Automatic to disabled and flashed it to the car to see if that is all it would need to at least rev, but the car will not crank with it disabled. I saw they did not have the clutch switch hooked up so went to the wiring diagram to see how they would have bypassed the trans range switch to get it to start at all after the swap. I will have to update the exact pin on the PCM but they have a GRY/ORG wire from the PCM ran to ground that originally would have gone to the TCM. According to the diagram if it were a manual car that same wire would instead be split and go to both the clutch switch and the BCM. The clutch switch would also just go to ground though when pressed so I would think as far as starting goes the PCM should be expecting a ground on that wire to start still. Only difference would be the lack of a splice in the wire to go to the BCM as well and not sure if that is necessary or not since i'm going to guess that pin is unused currently on the BCM since it's still the auto wiring harness. I was going to add the pin to the BCM and give it a ground to see if that will get it to start. I can post a wiring diagram tomorrow I just didn't think to save it before I left my shop.

Just out of curiosity I did try to jump the starter relay with the key on just to see if it would start with Automatic disabled and it would not start. May not be relevant info since if the PCM won't command a start then could just as easily not be commanding fuel. Was just something quick to try that came to my head to kill my curiosity.

I attached the stock file I pulled off the car if anyone wants to take a look. Kevin Ford Focus Stock Tune.hpt

Sounds like it thinks it's in park or neutral far as the rev limiter goes, the no start might be because it doesn't know if it's in park of neutral.
