    Dodge JTEC OS Read/Write issue

I have a 99 Dakota with a Dodge JTEC+ ECU. Im using VCM Suite Beta and and MPVI3 interface.

When I read the truck, my VIN comes up and the OS is stated as 56040145AC. Once the file has been read as is saved to my computer, the file has the OS saved as 56040145AD. When I try to flash the to the ECU, HPT license is attached to the OS 56040145AD but it won't write to the ECU because it reads an OS ending in AC. I've gone back and forth with tech support and he just keeps telling me to license the vehicle. I dont know how to license the vehicle. The license is applied on the write, I have a license I applied when I write the file to the vehicle, but it won't write because of the OS issue. Link below is a short video of me reading the tune and HPT then opening the saved file explaining what happens with the OS.

    Anyone else experienced this?

yeah, i watched their cloud change my files right in front of my face

just like it is doing for you : )

i dont think that location - dakota < logs n tunes < hp tuners < my documents, is really on your computer

if you look in the hp tuners folder that is in the > my documents folder, you will see that is where your settings are stored

i think the app might need those settings stored on the same computer that the app is on - not sure tho

or maybe you can leave the settings there, and just store the .hpt read in your downloads folder and it wont change the revision letter?

    try that first i guess

but yeah, get that lame azz oneDrive off yer puter if ya can... hpt does not dig the cloud

storing .hpt files on ms cloud can corrupt tune files!

I moved the HPT folders to a local folder. The OS change still happens but I was able to write the stock read file back to the ECU. Will move my edits to this file and see if that works.

The only way I was able to write to the ECU was staying in the truck with the key on, otherwise the unlicensed error came back.
