Available channels in VCM scanner 04.5?

Wondering what others have for channels in VCM scanner. I only have rpm, speed, ect, iat, map, throttle position and calculated load. I can't see rail pressure, PW, SOI, etc. Not very useful to me this way.

Saved chart layouts has nothing to do with what PID’s HP Tuners has available in their software for datalogging

Does this warrant a support ticket, then? Reading in the vcm scanner forum it seems others have had similar issues with other brands and ended up manually pulling OS information out of Editor and putting it in Scanner. Not sure if I want to try that without guidance or not. I'm more of a KISS kind of guy. With so many people tuning these 3rd gens, I have to believe the functionality is in HPT but nobody has actually shared what PIDs they're able to see.

Do I need to apply the extended datastream mod? This seems like the obvious answer now that I have stumbled onto it. It IS a bit nerve wracking with all of the 'you could brick you ecm' warnings.

Okay, the extended datastream mod worked great for getting all of the PIDs I was missing. The puzzling part is this, I read the tune out of the truck, saved it with a different file name, opened the new file, applied the code mod and wrote entire to truck without changing a single other thing. Now I have a totally different truck. The first think I noticed was the MIL came on instantly because of an intake heater (deleted by previous owner) circuit low code which had been turned off in the DTC tab. Also the TCC apply point is different and the engine is numb. Feels like a stock tune. It's nothing that can't be fixed but wondering how this happened?

You probably missed the part where it can’t read the ecm so it instead provides you with a stock file

Shoot. Yeah I missed that detail. The bad part is, I don't have a copy of the tune that was in the truck in that case. Guess I'm starting from scratch.
