DROP A PIC or VIDEO OF YOUR 325 TOP SPEED TUNED WITH HPTUNERS!

I'm curious to see the tuners on here showing off their skills

I would be curious to know the true 0-60 or 5-60 MPH and top speed of totally stock skis with only an HP Tuners tune. Or 5-75 MPH may be more telling as to just how hard they pull.

    stock engine or cam?

I am getting 79 MPH on the display at 8500 RPM on a stock prop and no engine or intake mods. Not too bad for our second tune. Note the rev limiter is set to 8500. Fresh water, 600 ft elevation 70 deg F, 3/4 tank of fuel and 200# rider. Eco mode still works. The engine pulls great off corners. No codes.

up the rev limiter to 9000. if you have the limiter set to 8500 and you're running at 8500 then you're on the limiter and the ecu is cutting back fuel and timing.

8700-8800,try, you need a margin to avoid spikes and let the ecu work in 8500 if your impeller is set up for those rpm.

Are these motors good for that high of RPM. The rev limit issue comes up when running in rough water. Crank bolts and supercharger clutches landing.

on 8800 its still safe, above those rpm a engine parts upgrade may be needed to gain safety.in rough water, if ski goes out of the water all the time, you need to reduce speed, and find the optimal point to ride, if the water does not allow it, you cannot run,is that simple.

but that will tell you if you're losing speed because of being on the rev limiter.
    you're seeing 8500 now, I don't think you'll be at 9000 with that setup.

If you're tuning with the OEM prop, the rev limiter should be set at 9,000 RPM. Be sure to install 325 titanium retainers, which are cheap insurance for an out-of-the-water. There is more to it than adding ignition and a rev limiter to achieve a speed of 86-87 mph.

The tune is getting there for a totally stock 325

This is what the fueling is looking like. I had to fix the HPTuners CSV export to generate this plot in MLVHD. The tune looks good for an early start.

And so far, with all the datalogging and tuning you've done, what numbers are you getting for top speed?

I have been concentrating on acceleration and throttle response. And figuring out how the tables are related. How is your drag race like throttle response coming along? How are you quantifying acceleration?

Quick question for people who care about top speed. What is the top speed of this ski? Is it 80 as would be reported by the $800 data logger? Is it about 82 as would have been reported by the stock dash? Or is the real answer 77.5 to 78 as the rev limiters and torque management settled in on? Note that the torque management was pulling the throttle back to about 45% open, on this pass.

As always on this sort of thing, the more you know, the less you are sure of.
