Question 8HP70 Ecodiesel tune for gas industrial engine?

    I have a 2016 RAM 8HP70 from a 5.7 Hemi RWD behind a 1971 413-1 Industrial engine and PCS TCM-2800 module.
The 413-1 power curve looks almost identical to the Ecodiesel, almost flat and ~400ft-lb.

I'm using a 2016 Challenger shifter to get "manual" shifts.

Does anyone see an issue with flashing the TCM with Ecodiesel?
    Any other considerations?

i am sure you mean copy paste the shift scheduling tables as you can not flash a tune from a different transmission to the transmission you have licensed with hp tuners right?

71 was the year they changed the way they rated power but that does not really matter

what matters for your rpm considerations is that those industrial 413's had tiny ports and small valve in a open chamber 906 cyl head

the 413 will fall on its face prior to 5.7 shift point

i can write a trans tune for you if you are interested in remote tuning

I don't have an HPT license for it (although an acquaintance does have HPT), it was flashed with the 5.7 Hemi by SGA in Washington.
I would have simply gotten an Ecodiesel trans but no one makes an adapter to Mopar BB.

I don't think I ever had it over 4200 with the A727. The problem was that it spun 3300 at 70 on the highway with the 4.56 Dana, which is ridiculous for that motor.
Tables would likely be just what is needed.
It is an RV installation (11,000lb) and so essentially "towing" full time.
    Project goals:
    1. Have manual/paddle shift available, mainly for engine braking on grades.
    2. Auto select reasonable gear for accelerating, and climbing 6% grades
    3. Cruise in 2OD at 65

I do have some example shift tables in xlsx files, but have not found one for Ecodiesel, where I'd assume the Mopar engineers set things reasonably...
    I did just find https://forum.hptuners.com/showthrea...ight=ecodiesel

Based on the Excel from J.Dial I played with some numbers which seem reasonable:
    ZF8 - Shift Utility.xlsx
Other than the fact it will never actually see 80MPH...
