JTEC 1997 Viper MAP SENSOR ISSUE
Hello,
So I'm having a hard time getting this ECU to behave with a 2 BAR Map Sensor...
The scaling is great with no changes needed..
Initially without any changes to the Barometric Pressure values and Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor settings in Engine Diagnostics everything was working alright except it would initially give me a DTC VA MAP limp reason code and with sometimes a handful and other times quite a lot more fee revs the limp mode would clear out and everything would behave great until the next start up...
So I've modified the Barometric Pressure Values to
Min Initial Baro 6
Default Invalid Baro 55
and changed the Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor settings
Max Counts 245 (unchanged)
Min Counts 50
MAP 5v Low limit 50
This Eliminated the DTC VA MAP Limp code from appearing and it appeared to be working ok for a little while...
Today while i was warming the car up out of no where the MAP sensor voltage dropped out and my MAP scale appears to have changed...
Attached is the log around 6min in you can see where this occurs. start run issue.hpl
I have seen a few posts around issues with the MAP sensos settings and diagnostics although I have not seen any clean explanations on how the system works... I have breezed over the JTEC Engine Management Logic PDF and i see the start up check routines - but I don't see why this would happen minutes into the engine running.
I would appreciate some help around this issue
