Question Is Pro Feature Set needed to interface with Ballenger AFR500CAN on MVPI2+

As the topic asks, is pro feature set needed? Also would I need the prolink dongle?

    Thanks,

Yes, pro feature set and pro link cable are necessary to add an analog input or can input.

No, because the AFR500CAN uses the vehicles OBD2 CANbus(with OBD2 pass-though plug) it does not require the addition analog input or CANbus of Pro feature set.

Ahh thanks for clearing that up, I've only personally used widebands with analog inputs and my mustang which has factory integrated widebands.

Im waiting on my support ticket to make the prolink CAN work with that right now. Kind of a hassle switching between CAN and Serial for pre-can vehicles. Not the end of the world, but when both products are CAN capable, would be pretty sweet to just use the prolink.
