18 silverado whipple & cam dropping throttle on shifts

I have an 18 Silverado 5.3 we just cammed and whippled. Truck runs fine for the most part but at wot the throttle seems to close hard between gears. Maybe even mid pull, it's kind of all over the place. I know it has something to do with the Driver Demand tables. I bumped up wot 40% before I started tuning but I'm 99% sure someone else was in here messing around because it didn't look right. I tried to compare them to another 18 5.3 tune I had and the numbers were completely different.

Anyone else run into numbers like that? I'll probably just smooth everything out and try it again but I wanted to see what you guys think? Just copy them back from another 18 5.3?

Also, the timing on this won't go below 12 degrees and I'm getting some knock at the begining of each pull. I keep pulling timing but it doesn't matter. All the timing adding tables I can think of are zeroed out.

    Thanks

Don't log with "SAE" parameters, they don't work well in GM gen 5. The reason of the timing is because your minimum spark tables are set to 12-15 degrees, if you want less timing you have to lower those.
Send a log with these parammeters app tuning channels 8-10 automatic.Channels.xml

not a big fan of those dd tables looking like that but it turned out to be the Peak tq numbers. I bumped them up 10% and it cleared it up. Thanks for the tip on the min spark tables. I never thought I would run into them at wot.

Is the TCM unlocked? If not, you can lower your Virtual Torque in the power area so that the ECU doesn't think it needs to pull so much power on the shift. All that extra airmass is likely reporting much higher torque. Look at the Virtual Torque numbers in the airmass/MAP area where the truck was stock and now look at the Airmass/Map and try to get the stock values in to the new area. You can have them slightly higher, as long as they are in the ballpark.

If the TCM is unlocked you can just turn this off.

TCM was locked. How would you turn that off though? Just removing the torque management stuff?

There is a toggle to turn off the torque management in the TCM.

If the TCM is locked, you can attempt to limit the throttle close on shift by having it see less torque. You can also use the min spark table to limit the amount of timing pull in the shift area. Neither are the best way to do it because if you lower torque too much then the shifts will be sloppy. You really want the ECU to pull timing on the shift but immediately put it back. There is another toggle in the TCM tune that allows you to turn off torque ramp on shifts. I've found the fastest shifts are obtained by leaving the min spark table stock so it can pull a lot of timing but then setting immediate torque return in the TCM.
