    MPVI 3 Auto Logging Setup

How do you guys have your logger set up to start and stop logging. Having a laptop connected to log is not reasonable on a watercraft.

This figures, the bleeding edge is not for the faint of heart. Now I have to give one of these a ride on the ski.

use a laptop connected to the MPVI3 through Bluetooth. start the ski, start the log, put the laptop in the storage compartment and do your logging. it's really easy!

Why not just use the standalone logging feature? This way the only thing you need is the dongle. I made an extension harness for the diag connector so I can keep the dongle in the dry box at the front of the seat. This makes it very easy to start and stop logging and I don't have to risk my computer getting destroyed.

Are you getting logs on your MPVI3 device on the 2024 or later ski? I am not and was told it does not work right now but apparently HPT is working on the issue.

I'm on an older ski. I missed the MG1 in your post. That makes a lot more sense now.

Any update on when the logging will be working on the MG1 ECUs

This is a fairly serious issue as we are finding logging to a computer thru a 6 foot usb cable is very unreliable. Windows keeps reporting device not found. We need logging to the MPVI3 to work as advertised.
