Been working on a lot of Allison transmission calibrations lately annd not sure if any of the ford guys have attempted a Allison 1000 / 2000 swap behind their 7.3L or 6.0L power stroke diesels. Just got done helping a customer with a Humvee get a properly functional Allison controller running standalone via EFI Live but use HPT as well on a lot of the Allison stuff. I figure I post this incase any of you diesel guys are going with a Cummins swap or want to keep your Power Stroke engine and put a Allison behind it. If I'm not mistaken there is a bell housing to mate the Allison behind the Power Stroke and Cummins without the use of a adapter plate. Some F650 / F750 trucks came equipped with Allison 2000 series transmission which is very similar to the GM 1000 series. The Ford 4R & 5R is a good transmission but the Allison is a very robust unit capable of great towing dynamics as well as daily driving, add 6 gears and you make your late model pickup a newer more capable vehicle.
