New and looking for advice on tuning a 1996 Vortec

OK, Not really sure where to ask this but I have a 1990 GMV Jimmy / K5 that has the stock TBI on it. Last winter I had the engine replaced with a new GM 1996-up vortec crate motor (260HP). Had to also buy the GM Proformance TBI to vortec intake and added 2 1/2" true dual exhaust. Still running the stock transmission, gears, ECM and TBI system.

Old 1990 5.7L had 210hp. New 1996-up engine has 260hp. Do I need to get a tuner or a chip burnt for the ECM because of the extra 50HP. Should I get a different TBI also.

HP Tuners won't have anything available for those trucks. You'd need to see if anyone still does EPOM chips for those old TBI computers.

Ideally some sort of changes would be wanted for a engine that makes more power. But part of the reason the 1996+ engines get more power is because of way better spider injection, better intake manifolds and better timing curves. Along with the better cylinder heads they run.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.

If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.
