I got a HPT serial cable after I went with a friend to Ed Wright's shop in Tulsa to get his 02 Trans Am tuned. Ed took his PCM out of the car, went into a room and closed the door. He came out 10 minutes later, put the PCM back in the car, did 4 WOT dyno pulls and charged him $650. We were there about 1 hour total. I read that tune file after I got HPT and when comparing it to a stock file it is almost criminal what Ed was charging $650 for.

I contacted a tuner and we are going to do a remote tune tomorrow morning and see what we can figure out on this thing seems like a decent tuner from what I see, TuningByJeff is what he goes by he said $400 will get me engine and transmission tune and he will go by what I want it to drive like. Well i hope it goes well and no issues come up. Anyone know since I have the HP tuners mpvi 3 and a laptop tuner said use anydesk do I need anything more than this for remote tuning?

Good luck with that. I probably would have recommended you use either Alvin or edcmat-l1 that post on this forum.

He's the reason why we were originally PCMforless. I don't have anything bad to say about him. RIP

This was way before LS tuning was a thing. A chip for a LT1 car like I had was super expensive.

Here's the new tune did a drive along remote tune with tuner and seems pretty good both files included below and some WOT in the log file i'll be driving it around back and forth to work and see how it handles over the coming few day's but he did say it's about as good as a stock vehicle would be getting. Let me know you're input.

It's MAF only and LTFTs turned off on a stock vehicle. Looks like you got a real toon. There are other things I don't like also but after seeing those two things I won't say any more.

here's my bone stock file compare it to what the guy changed and he did a fair bit in the transmission make it shift differently thought it was more than MAF and LTFT's but what is you're input I honestly want to know and what was done did the $400 I spent seem fair?

As someone who has been tuning with HP Tuners for over 20 years and tuning non EFI even longer than that you got a $400 toon. Just the two things I mentioned he did are not good especially running it in MAF only mode on a stock unmodified vehicle. But if you are happy with it I guess that's all that really matters. Oh and by the way the Flex Fuel has been disabled too so don't try and put any E85 in it. By 2013 GM got the Virtual FF figured out and it works like it is supposed to. No reason to disable it.
