TazerDT and Dodge Smart Access Cable

I'm brand new to the tuning game. I now have my first tuned vehicle. 22 Ram TRX. After getting my truck back from being tuned I tried to reinstall my Z-Automotive TazerDT and noticed I now have an HP Tunes Smart Access Cable installed in one of my security gateway plug locations where my TazerDT installs.

Does the Smart Access Cable need to remain installed at all times or can I remove it until it's needed?

    Or.....

Can I piggyback the TazerDT with the Smart Access Cable?

The smart cable only needs to be installed when a tune is being uploaded to the PCM.

That is what I was hoping for, thank you!

A followup to this, does the Smart Access cable essentially do the same thing as the Autel or TazerDT SGW bypass cables? In other-words, with the Smart Access cable, can I just connect an ODB2 BT converter for something like jscan and write to the ECM? It'd be nice not to have multiple bypass cables if they're all doing the same thing.
