    Idle tuning questions.

I finished fueling for my Silverado and I am starting to tune the idle and I am having some issues. I put my idle airflow and spark to the same as the stock tune after messing around a bit and the idle is rough. Truck feels like it is misfiring, but no codes and it isn't super lean or rich. I have a cam motion "lil lope" cam in a stock 4.8. Do cams at idle just feel like they are missing or is there anything I can do to improve it?

What do you think "lil lope" means?

I understand what it means, just was not sure if it makes the lope sound from the exhaust or it also feels like a misfire at idle, thanks

"Lil lope" means rough idle. You don't get the sound without the shaky shaky.

Put a cam in a customers cars 20 years ago and he calls me a few minutes down the road and says "My car is shaking at the stop light. Is it supposed to do that?" I replied "You've never ridden in a car with a cam have you?" LOL

Getting the fueling right will help.

It's fairly rich on the wideband. The drivers side o2 sensor is dead or unplugged.

The stock mounts in gmt 800 and 900 are sloppy trash, any sort of cam exploits their softness tremendously with lots of rocking of the engine. I put atomic fab poly mounts in my 07 and it helped tremendously. Just vibration without the violent jolting.

Lope IS misfire and it is caused by EGR dilution of the intake charge at lower rpm due to increased overlap.
