Is this a good PCM for a hemi swap?

I got a n NGC PCM for a hemi swap with a 727 into a duster. I was wondering if it is a decent PCM to use for this.
The part number is: P56029042AC. Its from a 2004 2500 truck with an auto trans.

I have read that some of the earlier NGC controllers have issues with tuning for performance camshafts. Mainly the 2003. Is this one of them? I believe this is SDL (I think that's it) instead of a can bus setup.

I have a wiring diagram from a certain business that all of a sudden quit offering it for sale. So I have the info to power up and use it from a wiring standpoint.

I also have a bellcrank for the throttle pedal and trans kickdown. I'm close to getting there, just need to go back and pick up a harness.

I kinda want to use this for my first swap because it seems a bit simpler. I just want to know how limited It will be performance wise.

    Thanks in advance.

    It'll be fine,

I've done a few with the 04&05 NGC PCMs, cams as wild as 104LSA installed @ 100ICL ....granted those are a b!tch , as for power, my 448ci G3 makes close to 800(naturally asperated) on the 05 NGC , my Blue 04 SLT is running a 380CI G3 (3.937X3.9 ) Eagle heads, Holley Hi-ram , old Kenn Bell 146mm Throttle body , with a CRT built 727 (revers pattern Trans brake VB with a 4500 stall) , runs 10.90s mid 120s off the trailer @ 4450 LBS on Pump 93. best to date is 10:83 @ 126(yeap Wallace 1/4 mile calculator claims 730hp) ......Don't fear the older PCMs and yes on a good traction day it'll pull those 75lbs (each) wheels & tires about a 1ft off the track to the 60ft mark.

the 03 PCM for the Hemi is the one you need to stay away from, it's very limited and HPTuners does not support it , it'll read and you can log some channels .....3529054.jpg
