    P0606 after reading

    Good evening all,

I have a 2012 Chevy Colorado Z71 that gives a P0606 and P0607 code after I read it. It has an aftermarket radio that has been disconnected to make sure the battery voltage doesn't drop. I can clear it and the permanent code goes away after a few drive cycles. Everything works fine afterwards. What can I look at to get this to stop happening?

    Thank you,

Thank you. I'm thinking the aftermarket radios can bus interface device may be causing the issue. Thank you for the help.

Looks like it's a common issue with E67 and the presence of the Class 2 bus in the vehicle.
I've got P606 when reading from completely stock H3 and no DTCs while writing.
I see nothing to worry about, just keep in mind this peculiarity.
