6F35 Select Shift operation on different models- enabling changing in D as well as S.

Some 6F35's are programmed from the factory able to use the paddles or +/- switch in D as well as S. Mine only allows use in S. I'm unable to locate where in the programming options this is controlled. Has anyone found it, I think it's possibly missing? (I'm looking at the Escape / Kuga platform.)
