Basic programming for a Standalone LB7 build

Hey guys. I'm putting a '69 Chevy truck over a 2002 4x4 chassis and LB7 drivetrain. Sent the harness off to Ken Wolkens to get standalone. Besides Vats and basic egr stuff, what other things do I need to change in the computer to make it run right before firing? Thanks in advance!

Trying to bring this back from the dead. I too have a Duramax swap build in the works, I have a completed harness. Id like to work on the basics myself. How and what exactly should or needs to be done to Delete the VAPS and checked so I can fire this bad boy up? Motor is a 2006 LBZ stock, With 6 speed Allison. Going in a 1973 4wd Crew Cab Chevy. any help is much appreciated.

You will need to disable VATS to start so the truck can start with no specific coded key from there you will need someone who knows what they are doing to get the calibration right not really a beginner project to be honest but you can play with it and see how it goes. From there if you are unhappy with the tune file I would seek someone to help you build a base file then from there you can adjust to your liking. Option 2 is have someone build you a file for the truck that is specifically set up for the vehicle but that file will most likely not be a file you can read or edit.
