    A10 stand alone trans tuning solution

    Anyone know anything about this company called us shift. The all ready have a controller that works with the 10r80 in mustangs and supposedly working on a solution for the gm 10 speeds. The unit I believe is called the quick6. I emailed the company to try and get some more info or when it might be available.

    Works on 6speeds but nothing currently works for gms 8 speed or 10 speed that I know of

    Ya I don't know where they are at as far as the gm stuff goes but there beta testing the 10R80 and they talk about some of the 10L80 stuff on this page but I don't know where its at as far development.

    Just updating this as it's the 3rd result on Google in Sept 23. We've been waiting on US Shift Command to release this controller for 4 years now. Just spoke with them a few weeks ago and was told "not this year, maybe next spring". Was told last year this time, it would be at SEMA and available spring of this year.

    Safe to say, they are never going to produce this, and hopefully someone else comes up with a standalone soon.

    What vehicle are you trying to do this on and what engine combo I have done a 6r80 behind a BMW DSL 3.0 M57 it functions great and has since December. I'm sure it is also possible with the 10 speed transmission as well if its a gas vehicle this will be even easier. The diesel was more challenging due to the differences in how the vehicles are controlled.

    As far as US SHIFTS they are actually a really good company and I have used there quick 6. My vehicle is actually in there vehicle posts it is the 2008 Expedition King Ranch. As far as them having a 10 speed controller the quick 6 ca be converted I believe but you would have to call and ask they are really good with customer service.

    If you wat other options you cann message me and we can go over what you are trying to do.

    The 6r80 isn't remotely the same controller or transmission. The quick 6 won't work and can't be adapted to work. Just got off the phone with Us Shift. Kevin is saying "after SEMA this year". I've been told the same thing three years in a row now. Hopefully someone actually brings a product to market.

    Why didn't you use the 8hp with your BMW? Sound German makes a kick ass controller, just used one behind a Hemi in a 66 New Yorker and it was just plug and play. I much prefer the 8hp to the 6r80 or 6L90 swap.

    You can use a OEM controller to control a A10 behind what ever engine you want. But this isn't for just any want to be calibrator it takes a lot of logging testing and time to get it right. If anyone wants to try let me know I can help you make it happen vs using a quick 6 or there quick 10 that's inn the works.

    Depending on the engine you maybe able to control both engine and trans from one controller but like with what I just did for a customer using a stock Ecoboost TC-1797 for the transmission side and he used a stand alone BMW M57 controller for the 3.0L Turbo DSL engine. But a better Plan may have been to use a F250 TC-1797 or newer with 6R140 logic to control the m57 and 6R80 as 1 without the need for 2 separate controllers.

    Its a lot of work to get everything to behave and act as close to factory as to be expedited but possible. I have used the US shifts controllers in my own vehicle as well as others and it works, but there is not as much control vs a factory calibration for daily operation. I got my quick 6 to a very close to factory calibration but in the end used a factory ford PCM to control both transmission annd engine together.

    Feb 2025 update. Just got off the phone with US Shift command and they think their controller will be ready for sale in a few weeks! This is huge as we have been waiting for 7 years! Obviously this is a huge deal so glad to see it finally coming into reality

    We waited 5 years for the quick6 with the same run around. In the end, it was worth it.
