04.5 48re to nv5600

Hey forgive me on some of my questions but Im new .. so I got around to working on my own truck 2004.5 dodge Ram 3500 48re basic bolt ons with a smartyso6 I swaped in the nv5600 and left the auto trans harness in the truck , I jumped out the neutral saftey to get it to run and move . Im wondering if I load a manual tune into the truck will it look for a clutch switch to start ? And secondly can I adjust the smarty tune with hp tuners like change certain parameters.. I?m having an issues with dodges park/ neutral saftey alarm . Thankyou !

Buddy good luck I’ve got a 04.5 2500 did a NV4500 swap on and still been fighting ecm problems and tuning problems truck will run ok ish until you put a load on it and ppl on here have been little to no help if your luck is like mine your going to have to get a custom ecm flash/tune with out your rig goin in to limp mode at some point the only place I’ve found that says they can do it is firepunk out of Coulmbus OH and there 5 bill and a 2 week wait but they will email you I think it’s 3 different tunes and you can burn them in with your hp device I’m new as well and I have called every one with in 200 miles of were i live and there the only ones that remotely acts like they have an idle and willing to work with me

Get a manual transmission calibration flashed to the ecm and problem fixed

If my truck is tuned with a smarty can I adjust with hp tuners .

You can use a smarty to permanently change the calibration on the ecm through a recovery file from smarty and after, leaving the truck stock, get a new HP Tuners file and tune the truck with HP Tuners.

And yes the manual calibration will look for the clutch switch, not that hard to wire it into the ecm.

So currently waiting for smarty to send me the correct recovery files .. I took the ecm out of the parts truck and tried to run that in my truck spent two credits and disabled the skim .. no dice.. i put my ecm back in and I have no prnd on the dash ( had some miss matched ecm codes)and no open door alarm .. truck is currently runing decent but something ain?t right 🤣

Did you get everything you needed figured out? I've had mine in since Nov of last year. If you need to the stock tune with the NV5600 here it is. You do need to jumper the harness like Peco2189 said.
