NEED HELP! Getting my 2017 Camaro SS 1LE 6spd tuned

This is my first time getting something tuned and don't know the process and what to avoid and what to look for. I have a 2017 Camaro SS 1LE with an MSD Intake, CAI, TB, Flex Fuel Kit with headers and exhaust. What do I do?

    Write a check

    or

Look up "Goat Rope Garage" on YouTube and start watching his videos. There's also a thread around here somewhere that goes through changes to make for various mods.

Frankly yours is pretty easy if your only mods are what's listed. It'll run on the current tune albeit with a CEL and codes since I assume you deleted the aft o2 sensors.

    Address the codes
    Log data
Tweak the MAF and maaaaaaaaaaybe VVE (but I'm betting stock is good enough) as well as spark advance. Changes should be based on the scanner logs
Now you can enable the Flex Fuel

You'll need a wideband and dyno access for WOT since I'm guessing you don't have a place to drive at 6500rpm in order to hit the top of the rpm range.

My opinion and $5 will get you a cup of coffee.

Maybe someone else will jump in but most folks in here help solve issues not teach the basics.

Yes watch Goat Rope but I also highly recommend watching Matt Sanfords channel on youtube as well. That guy has a ton of gen 5 knowledge.

Need to tell the tooner what brand/size of TB. Intake manifold will definitely need a VVE correction. As far as the yootoob tooners, be sure to understand where they are incorrect.

Easy tune for any remote tuner. Most can do it without a wideband if they have the experience but it is still HIGHLY recommended to get the most out of your tune. Otherwise it will just be extra rich for safety.

If you're set doing it on your own, be prepared to do a lot of reading and youtube watching. Just keep in mind the dates posted when you read and watch youtube videos. Gen V stuff has advanced and best practices have changed over time.

You will need HPTuners software and MPVI3 and purchase the credits needed to flash your car. Don't get the RTD interface unless you're buying it directly from one of the RTD supported tuners....but keep in mind you will be locked to that tuner through RTD.
