That depends on the combo. of parts and what you intend to do with it. If it's a public road going vehicle, I'm a proponent of CL if at all possible. If it's a mostly closed course ride, then OL is just fine, as long as you are keeping track of the data and making adjustments as needed. As far as the two compare .HPL files go, looks like you didn't clear the LTFT's in the open loop test, that is not a true representation of what it will do in open loop. Based on what I'm seeing, it looks better in closed loop, but I'm not seeing much.
