    install OS on 0411 PCM?

i got a new PCM a couple years ago and copied my tune over. evrything runs but i don’t have an operating system installed. i can’t do a crank relearn until i have an OS installed. any advice on how to get that done?

If anything runs, you have an operating system. That is the basis for any computer to OPERATE. Post your file if you want any actual help.

    please post up your tune
and if you have a log post it too.

this way we can look over your 'system' and help explain it to you..

Sorry. I've been busy and I don't keep up with the forums nearly as much as I did back in the day.

I asked about this a while ago but I haven't kept up with it and now i'm just looking for a concrete answer to this so I can get rid of the light for crank sync CEL.

And has anyone had issues with the odessey battery dropping voltage?

the first part of my response is discussing the operating system. I’ve asked this question before, but never gotten a response but it’s been a couple years so I decided to make a formal threat about this.

At the end of my response, there’s an additional question with this keyword “AND” which means I have an additional question.

Your tune has an OS and all 8 segments of the file are showing. Is this in the 2002 Z06 Corvette or is this a swap vehicle? You typically can't do a crank relearn on a swap vehicle nor is it necessary.

Lets see where that was said because anyone that knows anything wouldn't say that unless you had a new blank PCM.

so i was writing a tune a couple years ago and something must have dropped voltage because I just got lights on the dash that said loss of communication with the PCM and the car was completely unresponsive. And I suspected a possible drop in voltage would’ve bricked the PCM. So I bought a new one (new to me, used) and I believe it was blank or at least it should’ve been. So I essentially copied over all of the information for the tune.

ever since then I’ve just lost some interest in messing with the tune on this car unless it’s been plugged into a battery charger while I’m doing it i don’t want that to happen again. I tuned the entire heads and cam set up on this thing with a battery that would go dead overnight but as soon as I put a brand new battery in the car, it gave me an issue, frickin figures .

    thank you.

this is the 02 corvette. pretty stock otherwise. at least nothing crazy.
i saw the OS segments but wasn’t sure what was normal and what was not.
so let me back up, i have a light for a crank relearn that i’ve tried to do a few times and it never takes. i asked about it a while ago and someone mentioned the tune file either had the wrong OS or No OS (but it’s showing segments so i’m not sure again w that what i’m supposed to be seeing)

i want to get the relearn done so i can get this light to turn off. and i don’t want to just disable the light.
