Cam position sensor

Has anyone ever had a cam position sensor fail intermittently and then finally change it out and have to change the tune after wards? I had to make quite a few adjustments after swapping in a new sensor. I am assuming it has been bad for some time but not bad enough to through a code and messing with all the things that rely on the voltage input from that sensor.

Short answer yes definitely will change tune, if shorts out it messes up the can bus and will do wonky stuff. It almost always has something to do with charging or batt voltage
