Just want to start my truck!2003-silverado5.3

    First post ROOKIE.
I purchased a edge tuner pre upgraded modifications. Apparently my 2003 silverado 1500 5.3 you literally have to have to door closed to the truck they made me pull stereo/ hvac/even door fuse. the only change i was programming was my tire size. the edge programmer errored mid process and only will read error. literally the next day i was starting a small rebuild on my engine.

I have completed uprades so my truck is 35 " tires | long tube headers| exhost| sloppy stage 2 cam| bigger injetors| and cant even try to start my truck or even just get it to stock vin. Edge tuner is going to be sent back cause 1. wont work foir upgraded engine 2. imo ist a pc a junk.

What i have is mvpi3 tuner trying to return my truck to at least starting, then hoping to get a proper custom tune for now upgraded engine. Please help

    So what are you asking?

Can you connect to the truck and read the current tune or is the PCM Bricked?

I guess i need a custom tune for my engine with new the upgrades. how do i go about that? i have the basic idea. find a tuner , send them my info? Truck in need of tune: 03 Silverado 1500 5.3 Lt exhaust| long tube headers |sloppy stage 2 cam| injectors| sheet metal style intake manifold 102mm throtle body | 8" lift | 35" tires

I do have the same exact truck sitting in my back yard. i pulled the ecu from it. got my truck to turn over thank god! i just need to change the vin and disable VATS.

if you have the ECU removed from the truck, the engine should still crank.
the ECU doesnt control that circuit at all.

But, depending on where you live, it will be easier to tow your truck to a tuner and let them fix it.
You will waste more money in the long run if you dont

Yea if this is your first time, then your going to have a long steep learning curve.

What gears do you have for the 35" tires?

You can Contact one of these guys if you want to do a remote tune.

Actually 2003 it does use the PCM to control starter.

    Hehe.
It started in 2003. 2002 and older is still just a key, PNP, and starter relay.
