    Knock Retard issue

Good afternoon all you tuner folk.

I have a 2013 LS3 and a TR6060 swapped into a 74 2wd Blazer. Got it fired up and running and driving fine, only problems I'm seeing are under heavy load around 3k and up. This is a stock tune (with normal stuff deleted like vats and what not)

I had this crazy feeling that it was the trans slipping or something but looking at a log I realized it was retarding the timing by a good bit giving me that feeling that I was no longer speeding up, (couldn't really tell that the RPMs were dropping much). I've stumbled across all kinds of posts talking about the possibilities of it being false knock, loose hardware, exhaust clanging things like that but before I go tuning too much or anything I just wanted to see if anyone wouldn't mind looking at this Log to see if anything stands out.

I have went in and zeroed out the Burst Knock Retard just to check that as well as raised my floor for the IAT retard table to 120* or so.

Guess I should note that I am running the stock E38 ecm and an ebay harness (Don't worry I did have to repin a bunch of stuff to get it right but all seems right now)

One more thing I should note, this is a stock engine, stock everything except CAI which arguably isn't all that cold, and the exhaust but manifolds are stock. I don't believe anything to be banging around and it's all new 2.5" from manifold back.

I have not done any MAF tuning, and it very well could be I need to start there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you actually hearing spark knock?

My advice would be to physically check the sensors. I've had guys leave them loose and they would sound off like that. When they go bad they sometimes get very sensitive too. Prehaps try new GM sensors. Assuming you can't find anything banging around.

    SOLVED

long story long, I chased everything I could think to figure this out from exhaust to manifold bolts to e brake cable. I replaced the knock sensors like Alvin suggested to no avail. I was beating myself up so bad for being a terrible gearhead lol.

so the power wire to the passenger bank coilpacks was making a poor connection causing all the problem believe it or not. it happened to get worse on my drive to work this morning and was only running on 4 cylinders. Wiggled the coilpack harness and boom it started running a little better. Finally got around to taking it apart to check the connection and fixed the female side (was way too loose) and filed the male pin off from the suit from sparking and not making a good connection

WOW 430 hp in an LS3 blazer that doesn't feel like 220 hp in a blazer is AMAZING! this is a whole new truck!

I thought about desensitizing the knock sensors and figuring ways around my knock retard in the tune but I think the lesson here is that KR is a good thing and don't disable it lol. Figure out the real problem.

Thanks for the advice. hope this helps someone else chasing a similar problem if they have it.
