    2013 C6 lS3 A6 Rough Idle and p0300 in Park/Neutral only

    Hey guys I recently installed a new cam in my '13 vette and had a tuner dial in the car. The cam is a BTR Stage 2 V2 and my goal was to push as far as I could before needing to do the converter. The car runs good throughout while in gear no misfires and minimal surging I'm really happy with it but the car runs very poorly while in park/neutral and misfires on all 8 cylinders. It will set the p0300 code and ses light after 15 seconds on average and I'm at a loss as to why. The tuner thought it was a vacuum leak but I've tested the system multiple times and found nothing I even replaced both lines in the engine bay and a new purge valve as well no luck. I'm very new to all of this I understand the basics of using hptuners but I can't seem to find anything within the tune file myself I was hoping you guys could give me some insight I'll attach the file and list my mods below.

    BTR Stage 2 V2 Camshaft 0.624"/0.636"
    Long Tube Headers (speed engineering i think bought them used)
    Varam Snake Charmer CAI
    0.600 BTR Dual Valve Springs and 0.7400 .80 Pushrods

    I also changed out the timing chain to the ls2 style when I did the cam swap Michigan Motorsports.

    Yep that's what 221/24x 112 lsa cams do. Sounds like your tooner doesn't understand aftermarket cams and misfire tables.

    Dealing with the tuner was an ordeal to say the least I kinda suspected it was half assed. Would it be better to try and sort out the misfire tables or should I start over with another tuner? Car is usually my daily driver and it's taken a month to get it to this point

    The tune isn't great.

    Honestly the misfire stuff with a cam is very tuning 101 basic stuff. If he didn't know that he must not have been tuning for very long.

    If you search cam misfire timers you'll learn more. Bascially just max out all the misfire tables.

    You should also look into VVE tuning.

    Just finished up a truck with that cam. Adding more base running airflow softened the idle chop and lowered the amount of misfires while idling at 800 rpm. Well, idling around 800 rpm target anyways.

    Thanks I?m putting a wideband in this weekend I?m going to see if this is something I can fix myself before looking for another tuner. I?ll try adding airflow and I did mess with the misfire tables ie maxed them out and the issue persisted in P/N I?m thinking it?s another aspect of the tune causing it in those two gears but I?ll look into VVE

    See revised file that only affects and desensitizes some misfire tables. Some tunes will max them out, I just maxed out some of the lower RPM tables.

    Hey sorry I was at work I just wrote the misfire edit file in and ran the car for about 5 minutes in park. No CEL or SES light and it felt a lot better! There were a few times throughout where I felt a miss and the injector trims leaned out I took a log of the idle attached. If it's something fuel trim or injector related I should be able to sort out when I get the wideband in but overall night and day improvementmisfire.edit.idlelog.hpl
