    Enabling post cat O2's

I am very new to HPT and have only read the tune off my new-to-me 05 Corvette. It currently has no cats and no rear O2 sensors with them tuned out of course and I need it to pass emissions ASAP. I get 2 incomplete monitors, O2 monitoring and heated O2 temp.

I'm going to install cats and sensors and just want to enable the O2's so I can get this tested. I have the Lasota Ultimate GM tuning guide and see where it provides instructions to turn off the O2's so I assume I do the reverse to enable. I was hoping I do that and write to the ecm and away I go...... but.

The guidelines first step to turn off the sensor 2's for off road use is to uncheck the SES box in the DTC for anything pertaining to Sensor 2. I see Sensor 2 boxes unchecked but I cannot check them, the line is gray too so I guess I need to do the training course to unlock them.

The second is to enable Cat over temp protection. Which I can change.

So once I complete the training course and make these changes, will just these 2 steps/changes put my O2's back in play?

Have you taken HPT emissions test/training? Certain emissions related things are turned off until you do on the newest version of the software.

Not yet and understand they grayed out areas will be accessible after (funny that I imagine the intent is to dissuade folks from deleting cats, not adding them like I am).

But was interested in knowing if I am on the right track once I do get access?

Depends on what else might have been done. Pull a stock tune from the repository and see what else might have been changed.

If the catalyst tests were turned off using older software they won't be there to re enable with the newer software. Without your tune file to look at no one can tell.
