Won't run without data in the new VVE tables. No fuel, no fire.
If you don't need the upgraded OS for your build, I wouldn't use it.
2016 Silverado CCSB 5.3/6L80e, not as slow but still heavy.
If you don't post your tune and logs when you have questions you aren't helping yourself.
The answer is still the same. The new OS gives you 3 new VVE tables, they need to populated with data.
The regular Virtual VE on the stock file and the new OS with the IMRC VE table have different axis, so when you paste the data you need to flip them.
But like I said, if you aren't needing the OS upgrade, don't use it. The OS upgrade is really helpful with turbo or supercharger appilcations. If you are not doing either, don't run that OS.

Any os system change requires write entire, including original going back to original os. If you are making changes to tables within an os, use write calibration.
You really need to start over and describe what you are working on and get some help on a direction to go.
ok i turned a tune file into a custom os file didnt make any changes as instructed saved it then did a write entire withe custom os file. then tried to start it. it ran for a few seconds then cuts out. i want to dail in my maf sensor as i have a otr and thought ineeded the sensor mods from the os patch. how do i put data on new tune? sorrry im new to all of this
Again start a new post and go into detail about the vehicle you are working on and any mods along with the original tune that was in the ECM. But this stuff is not something that somebody is going to write you a post that explains how to tune you vehicle. It’s hard to even discuss until you have read enough to understand the basics. There are already post written and videos to cover the basics
If you aren’t looking for a new time consuming hobby, just hire one of the pros g to hat post regularly on here to do a remote tune.
yea that sounds good man! I was actually gonna make a new thread asking if anyone was interested in sending me a tune (which i would be happy to pay for) to get me started and possibly becoming a mentor and showing me the art of tuning the HP way. i would even be happy to pay a monthly subscription to be taught by the best. Im a quick learner and would make a pro tuner proud lol!... do you know anyone who would be interested? could you point me in the right direction obi one? BTW i sorted my car out after a painfull few hours thought i bricked it lost power half way through writing a tune ....was killing me .......had to get a new battery but got it back to normal so all good thanks for your help

Never write tunes with anything less than full voltage or even the slightest questionable battery. There are tuning classes online but know clue how useful they are. Plenty of reading can be done on here. Maybe the better tuners on here can talk you through what you need. But you need to give an in depth description of what you are working with and on to know if this is beginner friendly. The best we can tell is you thought you need a custom operating system for something.
