LTFT seems to not respond to VE changes

Tuning on a 2009 ram 5.7 with comp cams stg 2 HTR (and req. springs) and stock everything else. did the usual base file set up. Noted that the idle trims were -33% or so. Found Nueral network disabled when i read the file, so left that alone. Just to get started i took 25% off the VE tables in the idle region. Flashed that, reset all adaptives, and scanned, found the trims still -30%, so as a diagnostic test, took -50% off both tables, still reads the same -30% odd LTFT.
Am i missing a simple step? Is the nueral switch backwards in the ECU? The wideband shows stoic at idle, so somehow the trims are doing there job.

I have attached the as found file and the one where i took 50% or so off the ve tables and a idle log of the 50% off file.

try enabling ANN I have seen it back words before, you may want to add fuel back in the VE after you do that.

Ill try that when i get back to the shop Friday. It really can be the only thing right? taking that much fuel out of the VE table should cause major changes. I believe Dodge operate on the neural network by default, is that correct? So if the read file (On a presumably un-touched file) says it disabled, most likely its displayed wrong in HP Tuners. Im glad and experienced Dodge tuner has seen this before.

09's are funny that way, and the early production 1500s and some of the 6M challengers NN is not even activated, there was a dealer Update for those.
With HPtuners its hit or miss, if turning it off is turning it on, and vice versa... my nephew's 09 Ram 1500 NN was not active from new.

Soooo. I made a file and switched the NN to ENABLED and made a VE table adjustment, after clearing adaptives and still no difference....
So tried the method of skewing the injector PW and fuel mass. This worked and trims at idle were quite close, however the resolution of where the engine idles and drives are 1-2 cells, being the top 2 of the bottom 3 cells. everything above that seems to be decel. Seems weird....
I would like to be able to tune VE as it just makes sense to me. Open to ant suggestions at this stage!!
    Thanks in advance!

My 09 Challenger is the same way. You can tweak the injector data like you are doing, turn off the VVT, or use the NN trainer. I ended up using the trainer and the VE tables work like they are supposed to. Goatroap on YouTube has some videos on how to use it.
