2009 GMC Sierra 5.3 New Tuner

I replaced broken exhaust manifold with long tube header and Cold Air Intake. Had no idea that I was about to fall into programming land. Truck runs bad and can't drive it. Bought hp tuner and started to watch videos and forums. I have deleted rear o2, dod, afm, and trans shifting (I believe I completed the tuning correctly).

I ordered Wide Band o2 but will not arrive for 4-5 more days. Is there anyone with the same upgrades that could help me with a tune or look at my tune? I am out of time and really need my vehicle for tomorrow. 2009 GMC final.hpt

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you make a log file?
If so you can do alot with o2 error. Not wide open, but you can get alot done

I'm no expert, but I would definetly question the throttle Tip in torque adjustments. That could possibly lead to some driveability issues.
I see what you have done, but I really don't think you are going to be Torque Limited with your modifications so far.

If I'm understanding correctly your only modifications are Intake and exhaust?
If this is true it should run fairly well, at least driveable, in stock calibration. The only thing I see that you have done to compensate for anticipated airflow is increase your base RPM and adaptive idle and thats really more for a bigger cam.
I can say pretty confidently you need to put the adaptive idle adjustment back to stock for now.

You might need to adjust your base running idle air flow.
From my limited expearience, meaning just dealing with my own stuff, some MAF calibration and some VVE adjustment and possibly some proportional and integral delay on your o2 sensors should get ya going with you airflow. Maybe some timing.
As for your transmission adjustment, shift time and very light shift pressure adjustments should have you pretty satisified.

Please don't take this wrong, I just believe you need to redirect you focus for now

    EDIT
I see you did dod/afm disable and PE... Those are both beneficial

How bad is it really running? If real bad, I would check the ignition components. Pretty common to damage a plug on header installation. Also check for exhaust leaks.

And depending on what cold air intake, it might have changed the maf flow quite a bit. As a learning experience, I would say put the stock intake back on and tune for the long tubes first and then reinstall and complete the tune. Or not since they often don’t do much.

Or unplug the maf and see if it runs better.

What do you suggest the running numbers should be for idle airflow, MAF calibration, VVE adjustment and timing?

Thank you! I replaced the plugs and wires after the header install. It is pretty rich from the smell of the exhaust. I looked at the DTC'S and they denoted both rich and lean conditions were present. Also, as for the exhaust leaks, I retightened everything and it looks tight. It's not terrible running but just don't want to hurt the vehicle. Thank you for the welcoming to the Forum. I am truely amazed by the kindness/ willingness to help me. I am a person that will pay it forward!

That is what your logs will tell you.
I'll try and load you a basic channels setup. Then you can log a start, idle, and light driving (if applicable) with very slow throttle movements to 1/2 throttle or so.

    Good Point..
Pictures are screen shots directly into a power point. I can't seem to figure out how to copy them from the power point and save them as something I can upload here.
