    Strange behavior 2019 Corvette= Supercharged.

I'm just wondering if anyone has seen this before. I just threw in a known MAF table to get the car running after installing one of my Supercharger systems. The car started up normally but only ran for 2 seconds and died. Then -NOTHING. Not even a click when trying to restart. Pull the battery cable for a few seconds and it starts right up after that.
It does it every time you flash the PCM. I've just never seen that before.

I have not seen that before. I usually have to turn later models "off" before starting or they will just click and stop, unlike the older stuff where you can just flash and start, but that's obviously not what's going on here given the number of cars you have tuned at this point

edit: also, good to see you're still working on Corvette's! It has been a while but I am still around as well.

I had this happen with a client before. No idea why. But the solution was to ensure the ECU had stable voltage, the laptop was plugged in and the USB cable was a quality cable and not moving around. Then did a full write and the issue didn't return. Not sure if even related to your issue but the symptoms were the same/similar.

Had the same exact thing happen to me a couple times but it was close to 10 years ago and much older software version. The first time it scared the hell out of me. The next time it happened I figured it was a bug. Never happened again and I figured it was fixed with an update or something.

Never has happened on any other type of GEN5 vehicle.

I'm not really working on Corvettes, at least I'm trying not to. 95%+ of our business is just building and shipping supercharger kits out the door. We've been averaging around 600 supercharger kits a year, although this year is down a bit. I'd be perfectly happy to ship them all out and not have to do installs.
The car in question got even weirder. It did what I explained every time, unless you flashed it, turned it off and waited something like 15 minutes or so before starting it up. Then it started normally but had a check engine light. It would throw a bunch of codes including P16F3. Control Module Redundant Memory Performance. The whole scenario made no sense to me.

I had something similar to this, although on a Camaro. It was years ago, so I don't remember everything that it was doing. The problem was the throttle controller the customer had previously installed. Once I unplugged the controller from the pedal and plugged the vehicle harness into the pedal, the problem never acted up again.

I am not a tuner but I have been on the Corvette forum for years...

Andy, Your team has created some of the best aftermarket kits for corvettes.. Always helping us owners out..

I have heard the same thing about aftermarket "pedal" computers / commanders / whatever they are calling them now.. Once I took mine off I had no issues.. It was doing weird random shit.. The owner may not know it is on there..

That doesn't sound familiar but it does sound like something that may be caused by using an older version of software. What version are you running? MPVI2 or 3?

I've had this happen before but the result was related low voltage. If I loaded the file into the vehicle on a charger, keyed off after tune was written, and then cranked it, it would fire up no problem.
