    GT350 ZF8HP OSS trouble.

    Hello,

Short Version of my problem: i need to change how the pcm interprets the oss signal.

So the longer version would be that i put a zf8hp70 gearbox into my gt350. Everythings works except cruise control. In the tcu software i can multiply my signal to any value so 60 teeth x 12 = 720 pulses which would match the oem stuff.
Problem now is that with the multiplier set at 12x i sometimes get a couple of dtc. The multiplier set at 8 would work but then the oss rpm is mismatched. I tried googleing it and found if you change n/v base it could work but it seems to have
no effect on my car. I also tried to search for vid = disable but i have no such setting. Attached is the tune with the changed n/v base. If anyone has any idea i would appreciate it.

    Best regards,

    Philip (:

You need your tcm to output 12 teeth per revolution of the driveshaft. Not 720.

It is set to 12. I think i might have misunderstood the multiplier but the value is still correct. It matches oem. I checked the output rpm from the tcu and the registerd output rpm from the pcm in forscan.

Try to play with gear ratios

I'm having trouble identifying the root of the issue. I'm now using an independent 3-wire Hall sensor that reads from a 20-tooth output flange, connected to a Dakota Digital SGI-100BT. The signal is scaled by 0.6 to simulate a 12-tooth output, and I'm using the open-collector calibrated output from the unit.

The gear ratios from my ZF8 are:
    1) 4.714 (not used 99% of the time)
    2) 3.143
    3) 2.106
    4) 1.667
    5) 1.285
    6) 1.000
    7) 0.839
    8) 0.667

I ditched gear 1 in the calibration and combined gear 7 and gear 8

I've adjusted the gear ratios in HP Tuners, both under the General and Manual tabs. Despite these changes, I'm still getting errors after a few minutes of driving and I can also trigger the error by rapidly shifting up and down.
I tried to widen the min and max significantly, but that was as well not helpful.

Both the VSS (in km/h) and the OSS (in RPM) read correctly in FORScan. Additionally, the ABS wheel speed sensor matches the VSS reading in the PCM.

At this point, I'm pretty much stuck and not sure what's causing the error to be triggered.

Yea DCT would fit that car way better, but finding a used one is nearly impossible.

I can make this one running, 99% sure where the problem lies and this would require some custom coding.

    P.S.
For all those claiming the 8HP is better compared to 10r80..its not, its just about the same...you would have chosen 10r80 it would be done long time ago.
