    1999 Ford F-150 support.

A friend of mine has a 1999 F-150 (V8 GAS)and claims he can not read the TCM with HPT. I'm not sure how accurate his information is. He says it can read the ECM. I don't have my MVPI2 on me at the moment, but I will soon. I looked on the supported vehicles list and do not see it. I'm not looking to tune it, just scan it. He thinks something is going on with it. I'm guessing since he can see the ECM, it's part of a larger family of vehicles?

As far as the TCM, is it just too old, or something particular with it?
Of course I'm not ruling out a Faulty TCM.

I also have an XTOOL IP 919MAX that was gifted to me for helping with a bad tune, and thinking I should have my wife bring that up from Houston when she flies in today.

    Thanks
    I always tune VVE....

I didn't try to read/write it, but the scanner did read it. Was able to pull the codes out of it.
