Question regarding Diablosport and Hp tuners.

I have been looking at the forums all day/evening so far, and I have been trying to find an answer to a question. It seems like an obvious thing I should know, but I haven't found a post even speaking about similar so far. My question:

If i currently have a diablosport tune on my vehicle(2008 Chrysler Aspen 5.7l v8, w/mods) can I use a Mpvi3 to tune the vehicle or do i have to diablo, factory flash, and then load the HP to copy the stockfile, and then start editing it from there? Or can i just load my current file as my "stock" file for HP, and the go in and tweak the issues id like to adjust?
    For example:
I have had to remove EGR, due to an upgraded intake manifold not having an EGR port to run and EGR valve with. This upgrade, was actually also my only option at the moment when it came to getting a quick easy and cheap intake manifold and fuel injectors back into my vehicle. I changed a few things, was talking with a tuner to take care of the tunes post upgrade, upgraded, got laid off from my main source of income, and the tuner went Swayze. So I spoke with some others on suggestions for getting rhe egr, and the injectors calibrated correctly, and one of those "others" with an excellent pedigree, tuned the issues out, and adjusted the injectors. Or at least they said so and I have no reason to not believe them, nothing in it either way for them if they do it right or wrong. Im appreciate thier help. I do though not understand why its still throwing dtc if its turned out. .

The calibration hasn't achieved the desired results. I am driving rough with a check engine light for egr almost 95 percent of the time now, and I am still getting wiffs of fuel, and a serious bog down when changing between reverse and drive, and sometimes from stationary at a stop light, and pressing the pedal to start moving. I know these issues are mostly due to the injectors, and partially from the egr. My theory on why the egr is paritally at fault, even thought it shouldn't be doing anything seeing how its not hooked up, is because of the vehicles actions after throwing the codes. So when I clear codes remove key, put key back in and turn the vehicle over, the car drives pretty good. Still think its running with a little too much gas through the injectors, but its still an ok feeling ride. Then the MIL for the EGR codes goes off. The car immidieatlyy starts feeling s little off, but its still doing ok. Then I park somewhere and tuen it off while either go inside. When I come back out to leave and start the vehicle, its ten times worse feeling now. Slightly more rough idle, and fuel smell, and bog down between park and reverse, reverse and drive, and acceleration from cruising to gunning it had a major lag spot and the. Just goes right to WOT with out even working the acceleration up along the way.

So id like to be able to just load my current file, go snooping around until I can see what is set at what and and doing what, and id like to fix the tunes issues, and check the deleted EDGAR, and all around spring clean my current tune.

Is that possible at all? Or do I need to oem factory stock reflash, and then start from scratch. Im currently on the Diablosport intune I3, 91 octane tune, although its became a custom due to help from someone taking care of those issues for me when I really needed the help. Although it didnt work, I still appreciate intentions.

I'm entirely new to the HPT scene... What I would do is to do a read of your PCM with the Diablosport flash and save it. Then restore your PCM to factory, and then do a read of your PCM again. Compare the two, use the bits you need to create a new HPT flash and go from there.

I haven't used any of the newer DS stuff... the last thing I used of theirs was the old Predator tool when I had my 04 Silverado. It did what I needed.

OST Dyno has a pretty good explanation video on YT of the steps for going from a Diablo to HP.
