2018 silverado - fan settings based on transmission temperature

is there a way to command the fans vs the transmission temp? i dont see it on either my 2018 silverado or 2019 suburban.
i believe this feature exists somewhere, because i got the transmission way too hot the other day and the fan speed ramped up very high. then it ramped back down when the trans got below 250 or 245.

i realize that there are other ways to manage transmission heat (trucool 40k), but the factory cooler is reasonably large (its the top 6 or 7 rows of the AC condenser). Its just that, if you're towing slowly up a winding mountain road for a few miles at a time, you really need more airflow (fan speed) to get any cooling out of it.

thanks in advance. my only other option at this point is to haul my laptop around and with hp tuners manually peg the fans at full speed.

    Thats a good idea.

I dont believe I have anything located that could do this.
However, We could potentially make a custom OS Patch to do this.

If you are interested in this, PM me, and I'll work with you to build this.

You can make them ramp up higher with ECT temp, which is what I do for the summer. I make them stay on 80% after 190 deg

that's basically what i've done at this point. when i'm towing my camper the engine will heat up a decent bit going up a grade, so i figure that's a good time to run the fans all out.

in the specific instance where the transmission got hot, i was climbing a grade that ascended between 1500 and 2000 ft in around 4 to 6 miles. going 15 to 20 mph the entire time, around windy mountain roads. i dont think the engine got too hot actually but the trans definitely did not like it.

after that happened, i installed the STL thermostat bypass kit. i'd like to try that grade again and see how much difference the thermostat bypass, combined with running the fans all out, makes. i probably wont get a chance until next summer though.

    You are correct...
I jumped the gun, and didn't investigate before responding.

I can locate this for the OP if desired.

i believe that they exist, because i've seen it work!! around 250 trans temp the fans kicked on at 100%.
so how do we get HPT to add those tables?

    Send in a support ticket.
My experience is they will only add the table if there is enough pressure to force them to locate it.
    No harm in asking.
I want the Software to be more complete.
