Hey everyone, I?ve got a quick question regarding torque converters.
I?m really happy with my current engine and transmission tune on my cammed 392. However, I?ve noticed that it tends to surge while in drive at the traffic lights.
Here in Australia, the R&D behind torque converters isn't quite on par with what's available in the US. Most local companies only offer a converter with around 400 RPM more stall over stock. The good news is that this setup seems to eliminate the surging issue while stationary in drive.
I?ve attached my tune and would really appreciate any feedback or suggestions on adjustments I should consider when running a converter with 400 RPM over stock.
Cheers!
no i don't have a log with the surging, i removed the torque convertor and its currently at the shop being modified.
one i put the torque convertor back in the surging will not be there. but was more interested in the changes to the tune with the extra 400rpm more stall.
i can log the trans with the pids we used when you tuned the trans ? and post it up here ?
