    Help Dissabling Automatic Transmission Features

Has anyone experienced issues with HPTuners not dissabling the automatic transmission features even though all the transmission features are checked as disabled in the tune? Before purchasing HPTuners I emailed support to confirm that the program would be able to disable the automatic transmission features for my application and I was told that it can. Ive been chasing a wierd random missfire and at times doesnt run right. I replaced every already brand new ignition component with new ignition components and the problem persists. After talking to someone from the same vehichle platform, they told me that they experienced the same random symptoms/wierd running issues when they swapped to a manual trans and didnt get a tune to disable the auto trans features. They confirmed once the ECU was tuned to disable the trans all the issues went away. The vehichle is throwing multiple transmission codes and every light on the dash related to drivetrain is lit. I have now had a help ticket open for over a month and support continues to tell me that they dont know when they will get to it as it could be a month or two or more since its not a priority. I spent three years building this vehichle and I would really like to get it running properly. I bought HPTuners because I heard the customer support is great compared to SCT, but I'm pretty put off by this entire experience. Im really bummed right now and dont know what to do. Is there any chance I'm missing something in the tune that is causing it to not disable the automatic trans features?

Coming from a GM background swapping from an auto to a manual 99.9% of the time isn't as simple as changing a few bytes in the code, most of the time it REQUIRES a manual operating system/calibration from the same year/make/model as your vehicle. Personally while I haven't been involved in your ticket I suspect it might not be something that can be fixed or even changed on our end due to limitations of the code itself.
You can open a support ticket here https://support.hptuners.com/

    Hi Bill,

Thank you for the response, but its unfortunate to hear its something that might not be possible or completed anytime soon. Is there any way to get a definitive answer on if it is possible and or when it would be completed? Considering I emailed to HPTuners support to confirm the capabillity prior to purchasing, if its not possible or is going to take forever I hope HPTuners will provide me with an RMA number so I can return everything back to Summit and purchase SCT. I was originally going to go with SCT as its been proven for 20+ years on the Explorer 5.0 platform, but I've always heard the logging rate of SCT is slow and their customer support is awful. When I seen Erics post about EEC-V now working with HPTuners I thought it would be a better idea to go with HPTuners... I'm really regretting it at this point.
