Segment swap for timing under boost. Possible?

I have a p59 ecm, 2004 GTO. Is there a way to segment swap a boost timing table into my OS? I'm really sick and tired of using a scaled tune. Its not consistent enough for me. Something changes (weather, fueling or timing) and if my G/S change, then the timing will change. That can spell disaster for me. Having the timing controlled via MAP vs rpm would be far better. I've posted something like this over the years with no luck. Hoping as time went on, maybe a solution would be available.
I already know about the afr spark modifier but its not reliable enough. I have not had good luck using the boost enrichment table, so my VE is tuned for boost.

How much boost are you running? HP estimation?

He probably won't be back, but he is running 2 boost levels from 14lb low to 24lb high on a built 5.3 with a summit ghost cam using an hpt 3bar OS.

I have different boost maps. A couple for the street (10-14psi) and one on kill. 24-25psi turned up. Hp estimation? Ehhh. I dunno. 750. 800. Maybe more. It?s a built 5.3, 300+cfm ported heads, 9.4:1 compression, 222/233 cam. Pump 93.

Right now the tune is scaled 50% to get the resolution needed for my boost range. The problem I have is right off idle is pretty hard to nail because of the huge swings in timing changes, also depending on weather (I guess) boost level (kpa) will line up different with the timing tables g/s. And a few degrees of timing too high at higher boost could spell disaster. I?ve had to turn down the timing that normally is ok, because of this. Losing power. That I don?t want to give up. It sucks that this even is capable of it but hpt just doesn?t care. I?m exploring other options. Even efi live has a boost timing option. I find it hard to believe that as big as hpt is, they can?t do anything for it when other smaller outfits offer it.

I can make you a COS3 tune with EFI Live and read it with HPT and then you can do what you want.

Surely there is a way to do 3Bar OS with that Operating system you have?

Or you could go to the dark side and put a Holley Dominator on it.

How would that work? Wouldn?t you have to license my file?

    I do have a 3 bar COS.

I?m not really interested in doing holley.

EFI only has a boost timing retard table to offset the main table. So you can retard timing based off boost.
I dont know of anything that has a boost timing table cause they are all based off airmass.

Holley is the easy way out to control fuel/timing plus boost control based off Speed, Time or RPM.

I was just looking at the holley stuff just for kicks. I don't know how people afford that stuff. If I got a dominator, the computer is $2350, unclear whether comes with harness or not so a ls1 harness is $633, the display is $2050 (yea I could opt for the cheesy little one but that would look silly in my dash, $179 for injector harness, and $299 for the transmission harness. Seriously? For a total of $5511. umm, nope.

I build my own harness and can get the ECU for a good bit cheaper.
Most the times its only 2000 for the ecu and harness supplies.
Screen can be any of the holley ones or just use your factory dash and piggy back the data needed to run it.

I might would consider doing it for that. Can't till my truck is paid off though, I think I have a year left. Money is tight right now, homeowner insurance made my mortgage go up $500 a month this year. Figures too, I got some stuff paid off this year and it was offest by that and then some because I also got audited and they decided I owed them 10 grand. smh. I can never get ahead or even caught up.

I saved until I was 30 to buy mine so I would not be stuck with a mortgage. Now I bitch every year about property taxes, because I am effectively renting my own property from the government. And the big property management companies overpayed for a lot of houses in my area during the covid shit, so property tax valuations are through the roof on millage rates that never went back down after the 2008 financial meltdown when they were raised to compensate for lowered valuations. Soooo, I guess this thread went off the rails.

Yea that property tax crap is robbery. If you pay in full for it, you should not have to pay anything else for it. Insane that something has not been done about that.

I especially hate that most of my property tax is school tax, since I never had kids. I understand the whole "civic duty to educate the future" crap, but the results produced by most public schools the last few decades assure me that my money is completely wasted.

Never realized the blessing of owning a 1996 mobile home until this thread. Doesnt hurt that i live on a mile long stretch of junk and run down properties. My last appraisal was shy of 60k for a 16x76 on 1.45 acres with a 36x40 finished and insulated garage. Garage complete with 1 electronically assisted door, 2 20" 1/3hp exhaust fans in the back wall and enough leds to send morse code to the next closest solar system.
