im hoping for some help going thru this tune to make sure things are correct.
the car seems to be running lean according to the spark plugs. they are also showing signs of pre-ignition/detonation.

You're going to need to post a log. There are probably some people who can glance at this and say "change this, delete that, ETC...
    But most will not.
To help they need to see a running log with some basic partameters to monitor spark, fueling, tempertures, ETC...

    Add Channels to your log:
    -Mass Airflow HZ
    -Knock Retard
    -Cylinder Airmass
    -Dynamic Air Flow

Assuming you don't have a wideband?

Can you post up your tune file?
I believe your going to need a few more channels like Volumetric Efficeincy, Possibly P-Ratio, and some torque stuff too, but I need to see your tune and the tables it has

You will need to add these channels
    Add Channels to your log:
    -Mass Airflow HZ
    -Knock Retard
    -Cylinder Airmass
    -Dynamic Air Flow
    -Baro
-Intake air temperture (In Kelvin units)
    -Volumetric Efficeny air flow

(P-Ratio is a math, not a channel, that you will use in your graphs to devolop a VVE Error log)

    Sounds good

You won't need the Volumetric Efficency... Your VVE is base on MAP and RPM..
The 2014 Silverado tune I looked at was P-Ratio and RPM..
I also noticed you are already logging Baro and Intake temp already

I'm seeing some pretty good knock retard in log 4 where your really on it.
Not sure I'd do too much more of that without a wideband and tuning.

Your normal driving has some lean spots, well within the acceptable range.

I'll post a screen shot of the knock (and precieved lean event) if you would like

    EDIT: Log 4

heres the kicker, it was supposed to be tuned by a paid professional.
i could tell it was lean by the plugs

    Hard to say...
The MAF when using Fuel Trim error (LT+ST) showed 3% lean in a few spots but all in all didn't look bad. Good thing you know how to read your plugs.

Curios, does bank one show leaner than bank 2 on your plug readings?
Reason I ask is durning your hard pull the narrow band on bank 1 didn't appear to be totally maxed rich like bank 2... I know that is absolutly not an acceptable way to judge PE, just wondering

Have you sent him the logs to look at and adjust to the data you provided?
Or have they suggusted you check for vacuum leaks or low fuel pressure?

    Screen Shot

I'll delete this if you dont want it posted...

Not saying what is causing the knock retard, could be bad sensor, rattling exhaust, ETC...
But it is consistant with your concern and should be looked at

tuner refuses to correct the issues brought to his attention.
he did suggest vacuum but that was checked for before he received the car.

Do you have a widband coming?

    I cleared my PM box.

I'll give an adjustment to your MAF and VVE based on your logs if you would like

i need to add it was suggested after the surging on hot starts was brought to his attention. the surging/lurching only became evident after he adjusted something because the hot starts were sluggish/hard to start.
