    L83 with L86 camshaft LTFTs

Hi everyone. I helped a friend with his DOD delete on his 2017 silverado with a 5.3 L83. He insisted on installing the L86 camshaft to get a small bump in performance. Once the truck was back together I disabled DOD and the truck fired right up not issues. One thing I noticed when checking over everything in the VCM scanner were the extreme negative LTFTs. They are dipping into the 30s. The truck idles great and I did not see any vacuum leaks. Any help or insight is much appreciated. I will include the tune and the datalog.

Can you attach the stock file so I don't have to dig for one?

Timing is negative throughout. Something seems up.

He's trying to help you. He's asking for your stock PCM tune file so he can compare it to your modified file.

Yes sorry. The tune file is the stock one with just DOD turned off. Nothing else changed

An L86 cam is still AFM. Did he install an AFM L86 cam with LS7 lifters on all 16 lobes?

This. A factory L86/LT1 camshaft is an AFM camshaft. I think the only GM GenV factory camshafts that are NOT AFM are the LT5 (no, it isn't just an L86/LT1 camshaft without AFM) and the L8T camshaft.

Hi, I have a future customer that will be installing this same dod with L86 Non dod cam in its L83 Powered tahoe. Did you find out what was wrong on the trims?
