    Free Apprenticeship offeed

TLDR I ve been gradually learning to tune over the last few years. This year Ive taken it on more intensely. Ive been enrolled in in person cources since February. I tune my own stuff Gen IV and V. Id like to gain more hands on experience. I am not in this for a career I am semi retired and thoroughly enjoy tuning to keep challenging my brain.

So For Gen V specifically Id like to see if nay professional remote tuners would accept an unpaid Intern/Apprentice. The more exposure and experience I get with real world problems the faster I will learn.

thanks in advance for any feedback on if this is a crazy idea or alternative ways to gain practical experience. I also considered offering free tuning but want to gain more expertise first.

Interesting idea. This is just a hobby for me.

One thing in your post did catch my attention and that's the thought of offering free tuning. Customers....even those that receive a product gratis...are your best friend until they're not. It would suck to give someone a perfectly fine free tune and when they sidestep the clutch and grenade their engine they blame it on your tune and sue you. Just be sure to protect yourself legally if you go down that route.

    Good luck!

I just dealt with the facebook gurus recently from a video that got posted of a car spinning a main on my dyno. Tread lightly.

You got carried away with the VVE table and it over-inflated the tire didn't it?

I over revved a stage 4 high ram build. Spun the bearing on purpose. 6500 rpm max on the log. Also had too much timing and too lean at 21* and .82ish lambda on a heads cam l99. My trained ears can hear detonation a 1/4 mile down a track but im glad the facebook masters pointed out my sudden decline in hearing.
