    Got a 94 1500 with gen3 4.8 swap, is it tuned?

i recently purchased a 1994 Chevrolet 1500 single cab short bed with a gen 3 4.8 swap already done.
it is setup with manual trans (nv3500) and i see that it has no 02 sensors at all. it runs and drives pretty well but i have no idea what has been done for the tune.

I have hp tuners and credits i need to tune. I linked my tune (i think) so if anyone can give me an idea what has been done with it i would appreciate any input.

well i compared your tune to another tune and someone has adjusted things within your tune.

    Now what does that mean?

Until you start datalogging it to see how it runs/performs, it really means nothing much more than just a good conversation.

Do you know what to do to start datalogging?

It is a calibration from a 99 Silverado 4.8L with an automatic transmission (4L60) and you said your swap is using a manual so that alone makes it incorrect.

i did a data log or 2 recently but i don't have all my stuff set up correctly yet. i did try and set it to manual but it would just fall on its face at 5 mph so i reverted it to how it came again.

Is this a stock engine? The VE doesnt look great. Fuel trims and closed loop are set to come on, so trims should be working unless you physically dont have any sensors. TBH, i owuld compare a stock file with the same OS and i would apply pretty much all changes back to stock. Your timing tables and idle timing tables arent so great. Overspeed and underspeed has been fudged in an attempt to make it chop im guessing?

You didnt give us a list of mods so ill assume its all stock. We need a part number from the injectors that are installed. Id starat from a new file. I bet it'd run on its own if all the stock data was placed back in the tune.

the engine mods are unknown but i assume its stock. it has no o2 sensors other than the wideband i added through prolink. it is a manual trans but its driving, set to automatic in the tune. exhaust is custom but stock manifolds.

Heres your tune file with some changes from a stock file. Things like VE table and spark tables, plus the trans is set to manual. Its also in SD mode for VE tuning and the fuel trims are off along with Closed loop. Hopefully this will get you going and you can get some data logged.

I used to. Feels like a lifetime ago. I was a master tech for a long time as well. Im much happier out of the automotive field and just doing cars as a hobby.

Thanks for the hospitality though. Its appreciated.

so i tested the tune today. it did the same thing as last time when i tried turning it to manual and just fell on its face at like 5 mph and wouldn't drive over that. i assume there is something that is not set up correctly on the tuck. maybe some information the pcm is not getting? it did sound better at adle. less of a rolling idle. afr showed 10.58 when it first started.

it has always been rich at idle and leaner up top in the rpms. it cruises great though at 13.80 to 14 ish on the gauge. (never higher than high 14s)

It's doing that because Torque Management is still enabled. People trying to help that don't know.

ok i though of something that may be an issue although i haven't tried disabling torque management. when i used a universal bt obd reader to view live data i noticed it said speed difference on one of the pids. the difference is exactly the speed i am driving therefore i can assume i have no vss connected to the pcm and that may be why some things don't work properly. i read some people say that having the vss is far better than not having it. is it beneficial to have a vss and would that dakoda digital speedo converter available allow me to get the vss to the pcm? my speedo works good but i am running the nv3500 manual trans so the signal goes from trans to dash i assume and not through the pcm.
