    6.4 Powerstroke nightmare

I have a 2008 F250 with the 6.4 Powerstroke. I was having issues with it and was told I should probably reflash the tune. I wrote the original file read from the truck, and it seemed to work, except that the first time I went full throttle, it acted like a runaway diesel. With my foot totally off the accelerator, the truck flew up to over 5,000 RPM before I could shut the key off (luckily this stopped it). After letting it sit, I restarted, and it went back to running normal. I checked the throttle system and it is all working correctly, and the only code set was for engine speed overlimit. I have checked all the RPM limits and they are at 4,000. I can drive the truck all day with the throttle at idle to 3/4 with no problem, but as soon as I try going full throttle it turns into a runaway diesel again, belching out tons of black smoke, and the computer seems to have no control at all as it goes way past red line.

Did it do that before you tuned it?

Post the Tune, and a Log file of the event if possible...
I'm not a Ford 6.4 guy... But I would think you need to log anything to do with APP, TPS, Commanded Fuel Rate, Actual Fuel Rate, Injector Pulse Width.
If it has anything torque based such as driver demand...
