    Tuning help. Turbo ls

Gen 3 ls 402 stroker. Single turbo. FIC injectors. Speed density. Stock Dbc throttle body. Stock intake. I believe I used a cobalt 2 bar map. Been working with a tuner remotely and I think its gotten to the point to where we have conflicting schedules and Im needing to get this truck finished up so I can enjoy it. Been fighting a surge in partial throttle cruising and coming to a stop and will stall on occasion. Will attach the current tune and last log. Tims49 tune 9.hpttims 49 5.hpl

It looks like your short pulse adder table has a couple of "fat fingered" mistakes on it, and the minimum and default pulse width tables have not been changed. Those could affect whether or not you get consistent fueling at idle. Your file says 2002 silverado, which would have had a manifold referenced regulator on the fuel rail. Are you running a boost referenced fuel system? Your injector data is input for a non-referenced system. Also, put it back in closed loop and tune the areas that are not in PE based on fuel trims. I see you have short term trims enabled, but long terms trims from closed loop would be helpful, and also allow for more consistent fueling while you are tuning. While you are at it, add cylinder air to your logged channels. That allows you to log spark in the same table format that the ecm uses. And list the actual part number from the MAP sensor in order to verify what it is.

Ive gotta say the truck idles really well. Im running the factory rails and regulator with the return. Ill attach the injector data I received as well as the previous log. This one had the long term trims turned off. I assume he was working on the surge. But the previous one didnt. I?m no tuner but can make changes with some guidance. Ill also get the map part number. Thanks for the reply.850cc(6051)38mmboschev14_04262022.xlsxtims 49 4.hpl

We still need to know whether or not your fuel system is referenced to manifold pressure or set to a constant pressure. This makes a difference to how the injector data is entered in your tune.

In that case your data for flow and voltage offset are entered wrong. In a referenced fuel system, the 0 vac column of the table is used, and the numbers don't change for the rest of the vac columns because the pressure differential across the injector does not change. With a constant pressure system the data changes with vacuum or boost because the pressure change in the manifold makes the differential seen by the injector different.

This is another one looks like a bunch of stuff has been changed that shouldn't be. Also, not logging the right idle pids to sort out the idle and airflow adders.

I went back to the injector data and under the universal tab it shows 87.06 at 3 bar and 99.87 on 4 bar. So the entire flow vs kpa can be 99.87? Does anything else need to be changed?

I paid the guy, so he would send a tune and then I would take a log and send it back. Was hoping to not have to start over but I want this truck to be 100% right so if someone is willing to help and it’s just a few adjustments I can handle that. But starting fresh I am not.

i have a gen3 5.3 cammed and turbo with bosch 210 injectors. it cranks and idles fine but wont rev over 1600 rpms. it wont shut off at 1600, it just falls on its face and tries again over and over. when i let off the throttle it goes back to idle. does anyone know what the heck is going on?

What is going on is that you are hijacking this other guy's thread. Start your own.

Appreciate it. What’s everyone’s opinion start all over or work with what I have?

If you have your stock file, it is always better for the learning process to start fresh. However, if the file you have now is drivable, make sure to keep a copy. That way you are sure to have a fallback file if your tuning process gets too far "in the weeds", as can easily happen sometimes. Also, it just sucks trying to redo somebody else's work when they may have made changes that don't necessarily make any sense. If you do not have your stock file, at least download one from the repository as a way to compare the changes that have been made to your tune.

I didn't look to hard at the tune to study it..

You should be logging IAC counts, TPS voltage, STIT and LTIT

You need to address the transient mins with those larger injectors.

I can definitely add those to the channel list. If someone is willing to help out with the tune shoot me a message, Im just ready to get this thing done. Not looking to take any chances and have to worry about it being right or not

Alvin and edcmat-l1 are both professional (remote) tuners that can get you straightened out.
