Stay in SD, leave the fuel trims enabled, use those to tune under 4000rpm, log, apply to VE table, smooth and repeat, until your trims are within 5% of 0, you are likely creating headaches by switching back and fourth. Your VE still needs work, use the trims and give it what it wants. Reset the LTFTs with VCM scanner before each new log.

I would also ask for a second opinion of entering PE at 55kpa and 50% throttle... EDIT at 1600 RPM
That puts you in PE pretty early and makes using fuel trims pretty limited..

Yeah thats a good point, i didn't look at that, maybe stock or near stock PE settings until he gets the airflow models sorted out would make sense to me. I know it has been said before as well, but the main spark tables do look high, and this very well could be where the knock is coming from, compounded with the fueling not being correct yet, seems very intermittent though, didn't see any knock on the last two logs

    Much better
Didn't have time to really analyze but at a glance, I would focus on getting the red to green.
Go log again and check for consistancy. Then if the +10's in the upper range stay the same go % 1/2 and blend out, then log again and check progress

I am seeing progress, that last log is looking much better, it is a huge learning curve figuring out how this all works, and you will never stop learning new things about this, looks like you are getting it figured out though, just be patient, small adjustments, only change one table at a time, this will prevent a lot of confusion and frustration

EDIT: Forgot to add, get rid of some of those un-needed/unrelated to VE tuning channels when logging, it slows down these old PCMs.

great info, it is responding alot better, idling very good and not dying randomly, just dont want to see knock in the retard. i know its there to help me, just want it to run right before i start putting my new heads on, and really thinking of super charging this thing, work is finally see what we should have been paid for years, and they adjusted us trades people very well. i work on small engines zero turns and the like. i was a old car repair guy before they put these pcm`s in them. just way over my head. its why i was like i can do it. my truck was a v6 2003, i had a 4.3 motor out of my blazer the got wrecked. motor was great. i bought this truck rcsb saw the thing lowered in my minds eye. it got me going,..lol.. i knew the motor was bad when i got this truck , but i had that v6 . but my friend said ur waisting ur time an that he was gonna beat me. it lite a fire in me. so i got a drive bye cable 2002 motor 5.3, harness, and pcm. sent the pcm off to pcmforless told kieth all i had done to the engine, found ls1swap.com on the web, with what he had on the web and what i thought i knew i was able to get the motor down in and hooked up and running, had to move wires around in the under the hood fuse box, but its right everything works on the dash, it ran great for 5 years, then ping started, i knew that wasnt right, down the rabbit hole i went with my feet sticking out of the hole. so here i am trying to learn this spanglish language. with your guys help. its making a huge difference. sorry to ramble on.

    what you mean by
+ 10`s , and do i just make sure to change only the red to green and then smooth out in both ways?

First try adding 3% in the area circled, the red cells....
Then go log. Hopefully those cells will be really close to zero, you will evaluate.

If the rest of the log in the areas you didn't touch is the same, try lowering then by 1/2%
Those are the 10's I was refering to...
