    new engine baseline tune review

    I recently installed a new 5.3 with a cam with these specs: 214/222 .550/.550 108 LSA 106 ICL
I am new to tuning and was wondering if someone would be kind enough to check it out. I also have the data log from the first drive. Nothing has been done much besides add some air and spark.
My main concern is can I break in the engine with this tune? Or should I look for someone to tune me a better baseline to break in the engine with? Thanks!

    Log looks fine to me.

I'll be more gentile with a new engine but the only way to really hurt the engine is running it very rich where it is smoking or knocking really hard. Being a new engine I'd want the fueling a little more spot on than just any other engine. Your fueling is quite close enough looking at the log.

It's hard to hurt a NA engine with a tune. Things have to be obviously bad and someone would have to ignore that for a while for any damage to be done.

that’s great to hear from you. thank you! i haven’t been driving it because of worry of not being able to break it in properly with this tune. it sounds like it runs good and drives pretty good although i haven’t been over 30mph with it.

after break in i should get it properly tuned, yes? any suggestions as to who i should have tune it? remotely would be better for me as im in the middle of nowhere.

Alvin would probably recommend Alvin since he is a professional remote tuner, and is one of the ones that I also recommend when people are asking for a pro tuner.
