Flex Fuel OS Update - Issues once copied tune over

    Hi All

I have a stock LM7 99 Silverado and was looking to enable flex fuel. I had researched about the 02 Tahoe OS that would work on the P01 PCM. I obtained a stock tune file and proceeded to manually copy over all settings from my original tune. I had disabled Flex Fuel in the settings as I haven't installed the sensor yet. Unfortunately once starting up I could tell instantly the idle was different and there was no power. I ran the logs to see what was going on and could see the timing was way out. I've since double checked all the settings, particularly around the spark and couldn't see any discernible differences.

    Anyone able to assist?

Your file is locked. It gives a "part of remote tune network" message.

Thanks for looking. That's strange. I was able to open the file no issues and I've not had anyone else touch it since. I re-sync'd and tried clearing the remote master/slave settings. Hoping this file work.

When I wrote to the truck there was no issues that came up. Wrote complete calibration and went back to the original and has been running fine since.BLAZER 5.3 FLEX FUEL - Timing.hpt

    Its working now.
Are you sure the Channels are correct? Timing Advance stays at 0*

Without seeing both tunes and a datalog of previous tune its hard to help.

Your gonna need some larger flowing injectors before tinkering with Flex fuel as well.

Yea I actually changed the Spark Retard limit to 0 as it was originally going down to -11 which was the original limit.

So I'm thinking something is requesting it down to the limit. I can see in the log the Torque Mgt Advance is at -25deg. Again I can't see any reason why it would do that.

I have ran across glitchy computers in the 1999 trucks before, but it was usually the BCMs. It might be worth taking the flex file you used and doing another write entire to load the tune. You did do a "write entire" the first time, right?
